Moab Trip

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went to Moab with our friends Rod and Jody, their 2 kids (Kai and Brennan), Eric (Clint's brother), and Jody's brother and his wife.

The first two days were a little rainy off and on. We spent a lot of time in Eric's car! However, we saw a lot of neat sites and took some really cool pictures. We went on a hike to Negro Bill and saw people repelling off a natural bridge. That was pretty cool. We also went to a place that looked like a small version of the Grand Canyon.

When we weren't roasting up bratwursts and smores, we ate in town at ZAX (pizza place). I'd have to say I made some pretty crafty creations at the campfires. Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies with roasted marshmellows in the middle make the perfect smore. I also really liked Chicken in a Biskit w/Cheese Whiz and a Slim Jim on top. Unfortunately, nobody was digging that one. Oh well, they missed out!

My favorite part of the camping trip would most likely be when we went to the place that looked sort of like the Grand Canyon. It was beautiful up there, and I saw these really pretty cacti with blooming hot pink and yellow flowers. I would love to put those cacti in my own yard. The name of the cactus is the Prickly Pear.

I also really enjoyed hanging out with Jody and her 2 cute kids. We had some pretty funny times, like posing "sexy" for pictures and making fun of the guys :) The funny part about posing for "sexy" pictures was the fact that we hadn't showered in 2 days, and we were looking pretty greasy. When we went to the KOA, I realized how much I loved hot water, shampoo, and soap! I really wanted my hair back in braided pigtails, but my hair was too short to do it on my own. Clint attempted to do it, but it didn't quite work. I still thought it was cute that he tried :)
