This has been a great month for me. I graduated on May 1st, went to Europe for 2 weeks, and then came back with a job offer! I took a few days to think about it, and it just felt right. The prinicipal is fantastic, super nice, and seems very supportive. I just signed my contract yesterday!
I'll be a 5th grade part time teacher at Lakeview Elementary in Roy, UT! I'll work from 11:30-3:30 every day, except Wednesday's. Those are our early out days, so I come in early and still work for 2 hours. I will be teaching the Language Arts block of the day, while my job share partner will be teaching Math. I thought it would be fantastic to have a partner my first year of teaching, who can help me with anything I'm struggling with in the classroom. This will be a great opportunity for me to get a wonderful Reading program down before I become a full time teacher. So if you're ever wondering what to get me for a present..I would love Barnes and Noble giftcards :)!!
It's a pretty small Title 1 school. I believe the school colors are Blue and White. The mascot is the leopard. Luckily, I won't have to drive far b/c it's only 10-15 minutes from my house! School starts August 17th for teachers, and August 24th for the students. The school year is traditional, meaning I get out 3 months for summer...I'm not sure I'll know what to do! I've always been in classes over the summer! I'm SOOOOO excited...

Congrats on the job offer. Thats exciting. I love the vacation pics. I'm jealous that you got to go to the Louvre. When I went the workers went on strike 20 minutes before we go there and we only had one day in Paris. It looks like such a great trip for the both of you. You really deserved the vacation.
I know what you can do...come visit your mother, I really miss you. I am really proud of you and excited for you and your new beginnings. I'm not sure what you mean by post my pictures where everyone can see..that's why I use this blog. But I can't post pictures of my class on my personal blog..it's against FERPA laws.
