P90X-- "Bring It"

Starting last week, Clint and I started the P90X Extreme Home Fitness Program. They have dvd workouts for every day, and it came with a nutrition guide with recipes and a meal plan for a month. I'd have to say that it's definitely more expensive to eat healthy!!

The program lasts for 90 days, but of course, you can continue it after that. Workouts use weights and a pull-up bar, as well as doing yoga, plyometrics (jump training), ab ripper, and kenpo. The meals do not allow for sugar..which is hard for me..I love chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. I've already made AND ate a batch of cookies :)-- but I bought those BEFORE I knew we were starting this. I couldn't let that money spent go to waste. :)

But I have been really good about not drinking any soda..only water, skim milk, and occasionally OJ. We bought a bunch of vegetables: zucchini; green & yellow peppers, asparagus, spinach, mushrooms, romaine lettuce, carrots, broccoli, green onions, corn, green beans, onions, and peas. I think I've eaten more vegatables this past week than I have in my entire life! lol. And really..it's not that bad. I really like those SteamFresh veggies that you can buy in the freezer section. Even the Biggest Loser mentioned that they are good to buy. And my George Foreman grill has been my best friend!

Anyway, I'm sore EVERY day, and I'm going to need some encouragement to keep this up!

I have been dying to do this program! But that'll have to wait until our life is a little less crazy. Keep me posted on how it goes!

Yes, I'd wait for it to be less crazy. You have to be dedicated for it work. However, I think it's a good idea to start getting rid of your sugars, fats, and sodas NOW! :)

How fun. I agree that it's hard to not eat chocolate. Since I've been nursing I gave up all chocolate and caffine. Sometimes a warm chocolate chip cookie just makes your day better. :-) Good luck with the rest of the program.

Go Steph! I worked out for an entire month doing step aerobics and while I can feel myself getting stronger and building muscle, I don't think I have lost any weight. Those cookies and coca-colas get me, too.
